Road work sign

This sign means that there are workers ahead or near your route. You must slow down and be prepared for possible changes in road conditions if you are approaching a road-work site.

The reasons you must slow down are:

• Road workers are working near the lanes and might step into your path
• The road surface could be loose, bumpy or have potholes
• Your tires can throw up stones which can hit road workers
