B. Look at the glaring light
C. Put your headlight on high also
You should dip your high beam headlights when you are following another vehicle within 200 meters, when you are approaching another vehicle or a traffic enforcer directing traffic, and when you are parked.
When driving in an area with street lamps, you don’t need to dip your headlights unless there are other vehicles. Driving with your high-beam lights, even with well-lit streetlights, will help you see the road ahead better, especially things like debris or animals on the road.
Practice how to turn your full-beam headlights to low-beam quickly so you won’t blind other drivers. You can turn your full-beam light on, usually, by pushing forward the lights stalk on your steering column. To turn it off, just pull it back to its natural resting place (pulling it back further will flash the high-beam lights).
Once your headlights are on you will see a similar icon like the one shown above on your instrument cluster panel.
