If it’s your lane that’s coming to an end, then you should give way to any traffic already in the lane you’re merging into.
In the picture above, car B must give way to car A. Car B can move into the other lane once it’s free.
If there are no road marking lines, you must give way to the vehicle that’s ahead of you.
In the picture above, car A must give way to car B because car B already has the lead.
