How to use your horn properly

Blowing your horn should be done only for a reasonable traffic warning, and reasonable means to warn other road to keep them from doing something dangerous, not to reprimand them for doing a dangerous act.

For example, if a jeepney driver is about to cut you off because they haven’t seen you, then you would be justified to use your horn. Use your horn to get the attention of the jeepney driver, but don’t abuse it to harass them once they have made the sudden cut.

On the other hand, motorbikes may need to use their horn when travelling around heavier vehicles since it’s easier for them to be hidden in the driver’s blind spot.
